I’m rather fond of the romantic trend this season, although I find that as I get older I can’t get away with as many girly frills as I would like. I recently ordered a pretty Vilshenko skirt from The Outnet, which I loved. However, when I tried it on I realised that, on me, it looked like a little girl’s tutu, so I sent it back. I was never a fan of Carrie Bradshaw’s look in the opening credits of Sex and the City, and I think that tutu’s are best left for toddlers and ballerinas. I like this dress because it has a few artfully placed ruffles, whilst remaining age appropriate.
Having said that, if you like wearing fancy frills in pastels and pinks, don’t worry about your age and just go for it. I’ve never been one to put the kibosh on personal style.
