Pregnancy is often sold as a magical time in a woman’s life, when she glows with internal serenity. This, in my experience, is cobblers. I’ve been tired, grumpy, spotty and sore with muscular aches and pains. Mind you, my pregnancy has been a walk in the park compared to some women I know, who’ve been afflicted with hyperemesis gravidarum; severe sickness that lasts for the full nine months.
I’ve been blogging less frequently, partly due to weariness and new writing projects, but also because my sartorial choices are increasingly limited. I know once the baby is here, I’ll have even less time and energy. However, I’ll also find a new way of dressing. I’m inspired by other Mum bloggers who maintain their own look, whilst catering for the practicality that motherhood demands, Dress Like a Mum is particularly good. Until then, I’ll continue to lookout for non-maternity dresses that fit over the bump. I picked up this dress in the Maje January sale, the boots are from Kurt Geiger.
