I’m a fashion obsessive. Allegedly admitting that you have a problem is the first step on the way to recovery, except I don’t want to convalesce. On the contrary, I luxuriate and revel in my mania like a pig in muck. Consequentially, every season after fastidiously scanning the shows and trend reports, I make a fantasy wish list of amazing pieces that make up my dream wish list. In reality I can’t afford any of the beautiful things, so I’ll scour Ebay looking for vintage pieces that vaguely resemble my objects of desire.
The first piece on any fall list is a fantastic coat – this one from Miu Miu is ticks a whole lot of sartorial boxes; the shape pays homage to Hitchcock heroines of yore, the pleats in the skirt add flair and movement and the tough belt keeps the whole thing contemporary. Me likey.
Another fall trend that I bananas for is blush pink; the rosy was splashed all over the runways, but Rocksanda Ilincic knocked the look out of the park. This shape is super flattering, unabashedly feminine and bang on trend.
